Yes, I am literally doing the opposite of what everyone else was trying to do. I just developed an app and I don't want to worry about the constraints right now (we are internally testing). So I want the iPhone 5 version to just "automatically zoom" to work on the iPhone 6 and 6+ the way all apps did when the iPhone 6 was first released. Yes, I realize that the long term solution is auto constraints but for a quick prototype and iteration purposes this is the path I need to go down this week. By default when I run on an iPhone 6 I get all that extra space. I developed with target as ios 8.3 Xcode 6.3 Swift if that makes a different to anyone.
I have deleted the LaunchScreen.xib and used an asset folder as the Launch Image Sources. That asset folder looks like the following. But when I run the app my iPhone 5 app doesn't scale to iPhone 6 size and instead I have a bunch of white space.
